We at ASK LABO have been in business through silk for 16 years.
Silk has many challenges, such as the manufacturing process and the fact that the texture does not always remain the same after the product is completed.
I am truly grateful for the warm support I receive every day from all of you who support me.
How should we relate to silk in the future, while still being committed to natural, natural products?
After thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that it was time to go back to the basics.
First of all, why silk?
Is it good for rough or sensitive skin? Why is it so expensive? How much effort and time is required to raise silk, the raw material?
At that time, I met someone who was raising silkworms.
Thankfully, they kindly gave us some silkworm eggs in the hope that they could be of some use.
And as the blog title says
The "Silkworm Rearing Challenge" has begun.
As of today, it's been 14 days since I started raising silkworms from eggs...
Is it really that hard to take care of them? (;^ω^) I thought as I moved the food and silkworms to a clean place.
I am so grateful to the silkworm farmers and mulberry farmers.
The family also helps move the silkworms.
I was intrigued to know that these ingredients are used in the cosmetics and medical industries that we use every day!
At the same time
As a company that deals with silk, we have been thinking more than ever about what we can do to prevent the decline of the sericulture industry, protect the mulberry leaves that are the source of silkworm feed, and protect the environment, including nature and water.
Let's start with what we can do as individuals and then expand that circle!
To spread the benefits of silk to more people
From now on, you can enjoy it not only in pajamas but also during the day.
As I watched the silkworms, I decided that I would enjoy sharing my knowledge while wearing silk scarves, ties, kimonos, etc.
We will come together and move forward step by step so that we can give back to everyone who supports ASK LABO in various ways, little by little.
